Our Sustainability Plan

We have adopted the Social Enterprise Model to ensure the sustainability of our organization. Our Social Enterprise is an agribusiness involving the cultivation of cash and food crops as well as economic trees for commercial purposes.

This farm serves as a resource for the training of vulnerable women and youth on sustainable large-scale agriculture and a seed bank for beneficiaries upon completion of their training with us. It is multidimensional as it equally provides resources to enhance quality education through the provision of scholarships especially for the girl child.

Crop diversity is our strategy at The Bridgers Farms. By planting a multi-layered orchard, positive relationships are created between plants. All ecological niches are occupied, so there are fewer opportunities for weeds to grow. With yields from so many layers, overall production is increased. Yields can also be harvested from other layers in the short term before fruit and nut trees mature. Bridgers Association Cameroon enjoins you to try out this method to enhance sustainable food systems.

We create Eco Orchards styled as edible forest gardens that mimic the natural forests. The concept of edible forest gardens is an ecological farming system reflected in permaculture that works for the environment and not against it.
