Dan Blackman
Health Assistant
Dan is an aspiring epidemiologist from England, specialising in infectious disease outbreaks and their control. He was recently awarded an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine before which he completed a BSc in Biological Sciences at Durham University. He is staying with Bridgers in Yaoundé for 6 weeks, to assist with our projects and experience humanitarian work first-hand.
Specifically, he will be working with Bridgers’ Association on our healthcare project, which aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality of HIV/AIDS and malaria in Yaoundé schools and communities. In the future, Dan would like to work as a field epidemiologist, responding to disease outbreaks internationally, as well as contributing to equitable global healthcare delivery.
